Jozokos Architecture worked with each new tenant and the owner to renovate this 4-Story, 65,000sq.ft. Historic Mill Complex.

Through the design process we altered stair systems, ramps, entrances and rest rooms to bring this complex into ADA compliance, while meeting the Historic Board requirements of maintaining the integrity of the Schwamb Mill Complex, the oldest continuously operating mill site in the United States.

Jozokos Architecture coordinated and expedited the renovations of over 12,000sq.ft. of office space to accommodate the relocation of 3 municipal departments. We were able to quickly provide revisions to the layout during the RFP process so the landlord and each department could come to a lease agreement.

The advantages provided by this new location at 107 Merrimack St. allows the Public Health Department to expand their services, including new clinic space for immunizations, screenings, health promotion & educational services, which better fulfill their mission of improving the health and well-being of Lowell residents through effective public health strategies.
